The question is a pertinent one as it is very subjective. What is sure is this: it’s an excellent exercise for all those who want to discover the magical world of opera. The best known opera arias are those that we all know, that we have heard at least once. Or several times? In that case I can only be glad and, who knows, we might see each other in the foyer of the National Opera in Bucharest!
I will leave you in the company of a personal selection of famous arias that I hope will arouse pleasure and emotion in you. I admit, I could not help but list a few arias from La Traviatta – my favorite opera.
